Never go to the Big Island Of Hawaii.
When I went, both Volcanoes were erupting. The whole place smelled like sulfur. The people were very unfriendly. The only bright spot was the hotel we were staying at, which had manta rays swimming right there close to the hotel. We could see them jumping up from our balcony. That was the only thing on that entire island that I enjoyed. Do not go there.
